Terms & Conditions — ESC Bluetooth Printer

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ESC Bluetooth Printer app ("ESC/POS Print Service", the "App"), published on Google Play under the package name com.escbt.app. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Android devices that you own or control, for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

2. Free tier & Premium

The App includes a free tier that allows a limited number of prints (e.g. 20). This quota is enforced server-side and may not be circumvented, reset, or tampered with.
Premium is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited printing and additional features. Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
Entitlements are tied to your Google account / device as managed by Google Play, and can be restored via the App's "Restore" function.

3. Purchases, refunds & restore

All payments are handled by Google Play. Pricing is shown in the App before purchase. Refunds are subject to the Google Play refund policy and applicable law; we do not process payments or refunds directly. If a purchase fails to unlock, use "Restore purchases" or contact us.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing purpose, or to print content you are not authorised to print;
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent permitted by law;
Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the free-tier quota, App Check attestation, licensing, or any security feature;
Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the App itself;
Use automated means to abuse the service or its backend.

5. Printers & third-party hardware

The App communicates with third-party ESC/POS Bluetooth thermal printers. We do not manufacture or warrant such hardware. Compatibility varies by model and firmware; the App is provided to work with common generic ESC/POS devices but we cannot guarantee it will work with every printer. You are responsible for the printers, paper, and connections you use.

6. Availability & changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature (including free-tier limits and Premium features) at any time. Some features depend on third-party services (e.g. Google Firebase, Google Play) that may change or become unavailable.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its logo, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the licence granted above, no rights are transferred to you.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any print will complete successfully.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, wasted paper/supplies, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the App. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your principal place of residence or business to the extent required by mandatory local law; otherwise, disputes will be resolved under the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App's publisher is established. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
